The
bioman man MCU is an advanced, intelligent network controller
capable of handling high volume and high biometric terminal counts.
A single MCU cabinet is capable of handling up to 24 readers.
The
bioman ACU is installed when the system exceeds 24 readers or
remote buildings are included in the system installation. System
capacity is easily expanded via an integrated ACU, each connected to
the MCU via a single CAT5 cable. Each ACU is capable of supporting
up to 24 biometric terminals per cabinet.
The Administrative Workstation can be integrated with an existing PC
operating under the Windows platform or a stand-alone PC comprised
of Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software and hardware products.

- To be utilized for biometric login to the
bioman system,
capturing of biometric samples and writing the identity record
to the Contactless Smartcard.
The
bioman system currently supports the Bioscrypt V-Smart MIFARE
and iCLASS readers. However, the system is capable of operating with
any type of reader and is not exclusive to operating under a
one-to-one comparison.
At present the
bioman system operates under MIFARE and iCLASS radio
frequency technology that can be incorporated into customizable
identification cards via the Enrollee Administration. Customers
that do not require identification cards can utilize any other
medium that supports MIFARE and iCLASS technology, such as key fobs,
tags, etc.
